The debut concert of Winchendon Winds' 2016 season under the baton of Conductor Lucinda Ellert was a great success, with an enthusiastic audience rising for a standing ovation at the concert's conclusion. The program showcased music of the “British and Emerald Isles.”

WinWinds plays Stars and Stripes Forever WinWinds players and their audience

Winchendon Winds played its “America!” concert to an enthusiastic audience on the front and side lawns of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Winchendon on July 3. The audience enjoyed traditional marches and classic pieces by American composers in honor of the Fourth of July. The weather was sunny, breezy and perfect for a band concert al fresco, complemented by strawberry shortcake.

The final concert of the 2016 season, titled "Family Favorites and Features," was performed on July 10 in the sanctuary. The church was packed with music lovers enjoying a spirited program that combined popular tunes and unique showcases for individual instruments.
